OU transitional fees taken away

Hi,
I've been studying for my open degree and claimed it without honours with the intention of topping it up. Then the transitional arrangements came into place. When I tried to declare there was no option for the open degree so the OU told me to pick anything as there was a problem with the system. I was then deciding between dd206 social science and e301, both of which showed up with reduced fees.
I picked e301 but as I paid, it somehow switched back to dd206 on the confirmation page. I contacted them to say what had happened but had no reply and a week or so later, received my dd206 materials. I tried phoning but after waiting 25/30 mins a time, gave up and started studying to get ahead.
A week later, I received an email telling me I had been removed from dd206 and to call for enrollment to e301. I called with more patience this time and eventually told them I would now prefer to stay on dd206. I was told I'd get a call back but missed it and had a voicemail telling me to ring as they'd put a note on my file. When I did the person said there was no note and someone would call me.
The next thing I received was an email telling me I owed them £2500 for the dd206 course!
Sorry for the long post but how can they now charge me more for the same course I enrolled on for 735? Money which they still haven't refunded anyway.
