Hi,
I was struggling to find the # hash sign shortcut on UK keyboard.
Advice on other threads is to use Alt + 3 but it did not work
Thought I would give a heads up to help a.n.others this only works with the right hand Alt + 3.

I know you mention the iMac keyboard, but just to note - On my apple mac usb keyboard and my macbook pro keyboard both Alt keys work with 3 to produce the # sign.

Another factor may depend on which keyboard one has?

The bigger keyboards have a delete key, page up/down, numpad, etc. I hate the smaller ones, having no delete key frustrates me. Still no # symbol though! Not sure why - especially when the 2 key has both @ and € symbols on it.Kate.0 -
