Emerging Property

I may soon come in to a little money and I am looking to invest it for some income and hopefully capital growth. I have heard about "buy to let" and have considered this, but don't really know it in any depth.
While doing a bit of research, I came across this site
http://www.emergingproperty.co.uk/investment-property/united-kingdom/modern-student-accommodation-investment.html
It appears to operate by sourcing property investments which they will operate for you, producing a rental income. They also claim that they can source properties at below market value, providing instant equity. This appears to be an ideal investment for me, producing the benefits of buy to let without the difficulties of managing the property.
This seems perfect, but with limited knowledge it appears a little too good to be true.
Does anyone have any knowledge of this type of investment, and this company in particular?
Thanks
Jim

There is only one serious response to this idea...

Whats so difficult about buying a place yourself?
This sort of "get rich quick" scheme has scam written all over it. If it looks too good to be true .....0 -
There were three companies that operated a few years back, promising Instant Equity when punters bought at the 'below valuation' prices that were offered....
Google any of these names to see what happened (clue; it wasn't a happy ending for those that parted with their money)

Then why don't they do it with their own money so they can keep all the profit?0 -

What a truly ridiculous comment.
They're obviously in it for the love of their fellow man. Rather than retire on the riches they promise to others, holidaying in the South of France on their private yacht, with their Ferrari on the dockside without a care in the world, they'd rather get the tube to their offices in Marylebone very day and make other people rich.
OP, here's a few more :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Sorry but if you have been even remotely taken in by this stick to the day job.0
