its doubtful that you will have to move your soil pipe but if the two don't marry up you can buy a flexible pipe that will meet the two pipes up0

If its a relatively new build then you should find that the soil pipe centre is set at approx 200mm. In which case it will match modern sanitaryware.hi all, can some one tell me if all toilets where the waste comes out the back into soil pipe are standerd hight and diameter, ie if i go out and buy a new one i wont have to move the soil pipe thanks .
Nasty, unhygenic things. Inventions of the devil along with saniflos which are neither sanitary nor do they flow very well. Sorry - offtopicmissindecisive wrote: »you can buy a flexible pipe that will meet the two pipes up

I have a 1960s ex-council house - when putting in a new toilet my brother had to build a 2 inch stand for the toilet to make it fit. I believe that a lot of council places used weird sizings to prevent theft.0

A lot of the toilets in DIY stores are imports from Italy and other foreign places, some a lot further east and although there is a British Standard for washdown closets don't expect something you picked up at "Bog It All" to comply. You scullion!
