Leaving TMobile - mysterious penalty fees

Options
Grrrrrr

I ported out of TMobile yesterday
I am officially out of contract tomorrow

As a penalty for leaving 2 days early I was hit with a penalty fee of £21.60

Ive spent just under an hour to an overseas call centre and after being left on hold many times for discussions with "managers" they have just waived it, mentioning this forum may have helped :T

I was happy to pay until the end of my contract which is tomorrow and even gave them 30 days notice at which point the operator who issued my PAC assured me there would be no charge for leaving - although she did try and charge me for the PAC which I also challenged and had dropped

So its a virtual pint to you all from me

Thanks

Yes, T-mobile became notorious recently for doing this.
They seem to make a good profit on the majority of leaving customers, but always give in if challenged.
  • The penalty stayed on my online account until today when I received a final bill in the mail with no extra charges on it

    Thanks again!
  • They did the same to me, phone call sorted it but it was a suprise when it appeared on my bill.

im not having a go here but you said yourself you left early.

Whether it be a day or a month, the charge still would apply. They will have a standard monthly fee that is multiplied by the amount of months you want to leave early.

    £20+ for two days?

Are you saying that if you are leaving 1 day early you have to pay twice for the last month? This makes no sense really.
