Hello
Just wondered if anyone has thought on a settlement figure based on 23 months to go on IVA at £200.00 per month. Would £2,600 be the only accepted amount?
It's been a struggle but to anyone starting out, it does pass and you do manage. I have had changes in the past 3 years and thankfully my mortgage provider and my IVA company have helped me out along the way......
Still a little way to go but the light is at the end of the tunnel now.

Hi
Just going on what you have put
You could try speaking to your IP - the terms of your IVA would be a factor
If your disposable income as paid into the IVA has not reduced etc then the question would likely be - why would they accept less overall - Im afraid IVAs are not set up to be charitable to the person in debt - having said that, it does sound like your company has been good with you.
Just out of interest where would the £2,600 or any lump sum come from, would it be a third party if not then it might be classed as a windfall anyway
Maybe a good idea to read through your IVA proposals first before doing anything0 -
Thanks for the advice.
Payments have been reduced by a small amountt (£20.00) per month so this could affect what they might expect. Not sure my figures were correct anyway. I worked out around £4.5k that they might expect back!
No, it would not be a windfall, a helping hand from someone, but this is only to cover the IVA f&f and nothing else so would be withdrawn if the offer was not accepted.
I am going to leave it alone for the moment as there is supposed to be a PPI claim coming in and although this will not complete my IVA it might keep the wolves happy for a while!22 months until debt free0
