Printer problems

Hi,
I don't know what we have done but somehow my EPSON DX4000 printer has taken to reducing the font size by half.
I have been into printin preferences and can find nothing to help.
I have vague memories of it being something to do with scaling.
tried reset to defaults with no luck,
Any ideas please?
Getting fed up with needing glasses to res print.
Cheers
JO

In printer preferences, page layout, is nothing ticked and the enlargement is auto expand and set to max?

Are you printing a document or from a web page?
  • Hi,
I have just had a fiddle and find that when printing from MS Office
I get a tick box that allows me to 'Zoom scale to paper size'
If I change this to A4 it prints perfectly.
But if I try to print from the web I do not see this screen and get hallf size font.

Check the settings in Printing Preferences
Start > Devices and Printers > Right Click on the icon for your printer > Printing Preferences > Advanced
How do I add a signature?

On a web page, click file then page set up to look for the scale option there. Then you can click file then print and choose the printer from there if you have more than one.

Check if the orientation is set to portrait and the margins are set properly.
  • Try File/Print options/Scale print to (as a %age). Worked for me.
  • Hi,
Many thanks for all the help.
I know I must have messed something up because everything was OK for years.
