Adding in £26.09 spent in MrT's on Saturday.

This included £6 for a quiche pan and £6 for a cake pan, £4.50 on eggs and £3.99 on a 5k bag of sugar. That's enough eggs and sugar to make lots of yummy things over the next few weeks :)

    Another NSD yesterday :j:j
Can't think of anything smart to put here...

Just popping in to say I spent £11.11 this morning which included a pack of diced chicken breast, chicken thighs, pigs liver, turkey steaks, plus salmon trimmings, 2 packs of coleslaw, 1 bag stirfry, 18 eggs and a large pack of mixed cooked fish, which i just had for lunch (very nice it was). I have not updated sig and also have some shopping from saturday, which is going to send me over budget, not too sure how much, but will sort out later today.

Theatregirl - theres no such thing as failed - im sure youve done much better than if you werent trying
    Bluegreen - love the piccies
NickiSue - you could keep the budget the same, with the view to reducing it, and bank whats left for xmas

Does anyone know when the xmas delivery slots for Mr T will be released? I am a member of the delivery saver so think I will get advance warning but haven't seen anything yet?

On the money front - its gone pear shaped :(:(:(

Thanks :) To be honest a fair bit of it has gone on fresh bread from Greggs, which Mum loves....mid month however I cut out white bread and switched to brown so it got left and went mouldy = wastage/thrown in bin.

In Nov we have planned NOT to do the fresh bread - if she wants it DM will just buy a couple of rolls or a small baguette, etc. :) That should hopefully help. Am still couponing like crazy and am about to go look at Mr T's for our monthly shop on Sunday as we have a few coupons that need to be used up. :)

You might consider trying the part baked rolls and baguettes on offer in Iceland at the moment, 2 for 1.00. thats 2 packs of six roll
or 2 packs of 2 baguettesI find these so useful as they have a long best before date without neeeding to freeze, although once opened they do need freezing.

  • We did buy those once - but DM is a very fussy eater and she wouldnt eat them after she took a bite of one and it repulsed her for unknown reasons - she left five of for me and my late Dad to eat up :rotfl:

And they say the younger generation are fussy LOL.

Bluegreen wow! Looks super yummy - I want to go and get baking right this second :j

Popped to Ikea this weekend (finally got myself a new bookcase after desperately needing one for years but could never justify shelling out for it!) and of course Mr Merle couldn't resist the temptations of the food shop with all the festive bits & bobs they have in (the kitchen now looks like we're running a Julmust factory :rotfl:). Did another small shop the other day and have completely lost the receipt for it, so am going to call the latest spends £20.

Think I'll call that it for October, and declare at £198 out of £200. Though had a few estimated spends in there, so probably was in fact a little over £200 but hey ho. Very pleased, even if I did go over £200, as so easily in the past we could have blown an extra one or two hundred quid! *does a little dance*

A £1.92 spend in Tesco this afternoon. Milk, bread rolls, ham and chocolate mouuses. I have updated my siggy.

And fingers crossed... I THINK this might be it for the month! I've got enough in to see me through until Friday night, then Saturday morning I'm off to the parentals house in Shropshire for a christening on the Sunday... Then I'll probably stay on there until the Tuesday or Wednesday.
Because it's fun to have money!

Sooo - since my last post I've spent:

    £5.88 in Mr T
    £3.15 in Mr S
    £7.99 in Mr S
    £1 in Mr S
    £1.50 in Snowland
£1.80 on bagels and rye bread from the bakery

    = £21.32 in total

= £139.69 spend in total, so I'm over this month with 9 days to go! :(

I do have everything I need for lunches until at least next Monday, and should hopefully not need much additions for dinners. Damage limitation now. :o
