  • They were selling the larger size bottles of Fairy Liquid 2 for £2 so I grabbed some of them. Won't need any for quite a long time now!

Don't mean to burst your bubble or anything (har-de-har) - but Mr I's near me are selling 2 packs of washing up liquid for only £1. Can't remember if it's own brand but its definitely not a big brand product. Bottles are quite large too. :) Just an FYI.

No idea - I use my hand lotion after washing the dishes to keep them soft :)

Oh my god...i went food shopping in Morrisons instead of Lidl today, as i was in the same town as a Morrisons.
    NEVER again!
I couldnt believe the prices of some of the products- especially waffles, bagels, pitta bread, wraps but to name a few.

I always think that maybe i should stop going to lidl as its an 8 mile drive there, compared to a 9 mile drive to morrisons and i am in the same town as the morrisons 3 times a week, but only ever go to the lidl town specifically for lidl once a week.

I was worried about petrol prices to be honest, which is still a valid concern, but today i spent £50 in Morrisons with a list that has been costing me £30 in Lidl! Even taking into account the petrol cost to get to Lidl, it still works out cheaper!

Back to lidl next week, lesson learnt :)

Not sure what to do.... We're having a Halloween party next weekend and I will come in under my grocery budget quite comfortably except for buying booze for party..... Not sure whether to take the booze costs out of our 'entertainment' budget instead or put up with having a very meagre week next week..... Will talk to OH about it...

what sort of booze will you be needing to buy, for how many people, and how much do you have to spend? :)
