Renault scenic oil issue

Hi there if its not one problem it's another.

Question 1.My scenic 1.5 dci is burning way to much fuel which is not leaking on the driveway which makes me think its obviously going somewhere else its taking about 1L every 150 miles.

Question 2. I now go round corners and hear like a knocking noise coming from the front when turning left or right.

1) No idea. Being a diesel it is harder to diagnose if its burning it. Is there a blue tint to the stuff coming out of the exhaust?
