Morning everyone,
I know we're still in September but my Xmas shopping has started already, I need help in what to get my partners children for there 'main' present, his DS is 8 and DD is 7.
We came up with a few ideas like mini stereo or digital camera but they've already got one each. They have everything that springs to mind, bikes, scooters etc.
Ideally we want to spend no more than £50 each.
Thanks in advance

i am so tempted to suggest nothing...Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Could you get them tickets to something? A day out somewhere?0

I'd definitely go with 'a day out somewhere' - time is the best present you can give to kids0

Thanks for your suggestions.
Raksha your reply made me smile as if I had my way they wouldn't be getting anything!! Not that I'm horrible but they can be very ungrateful so sometimes we wonder why we bother!!0 -

That's because I had a niece and nephew who knew the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I used to dread Christmas when they would look at the things my son had and tell him x had only cost Y and their presents had cost Z....Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -
What about those Oxfam (?) gifts where you buy a goat/toilet/school supplies etc?
I'm guessing they'll get stuff from the rest of the family anyway....so this might give 'em a kick up the posterior & appreciate what they do get....;)
Adopt a herd of reindeer (pack on amazon)....it won't need feeding/pooping & so forth but they still get a picture etc

my niece is 7 and has everything! she is very spoilt. We asked what to get her and her mum said get her some ice skates as she goes to lessons .....i was shocked at the prices...i might get her something else lol
my son is 7 and tbh anything to do with crafts and he loves reading . He had a ds / psp and ended up asking me to sell them for him because he doesnt really play them and he would like to buy himself a bike
he is getting one for christmas so his money is just sat in his bank account ready for his holidays

My ds is 8 and not due to him being spoilt but having a large family and that I am a Childminder he has a lot of things.
Dark Star, thank you for the reminder, ds had said he wanted to adopt an animal with his own money.
I would also suggest a day out, theatre or something. How about adding to it some little keep sakes that are linked to it?0 -
I would suggest a day out, preferable using Nectar or Tesco Club card points.
My 7 year old likes playing with her Lego.0 -
my 7 and 9 year old sons love lego, they both have ds's so new games are always lliked, they also like to play on the wii so think its great if they have their own games - they got batman and monster trucks last year. dvds or books most kids like.
what about money or voucher and then a trip to toys r us etc so they can buy own stuff?
have you asked them if there is anything they would like? whether it be toys/clothes or day out - they may appreciate being asked rather than just being given something
slightlt off topic they love going to the woods n building dens from sticks etc so we bought them army outfits to wear - could you do something like this?due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
