Like I'm sure many other people, I am so fed up with silly return policies!
I think it would be a good idea to have a thread just with links for companies with return policies that are totally non-compliant with DSR.
No returns accepted, charging restocking fees etc.
Here's one to start with...

just today I was looking at Amazon, and you can't even find a return policy, it tells you to contact merchants directly....0 -

These terms do not affect your statutory rights.0 -
not just small companies... (UK ltd co, owned a Japanese holding co. I think)

A refund of the delivery charge will be given in the instance of incorrect, damaged or faulty goods, but not when a product is simply unwanted.
None of the above conditions affect your statutory rights when goods are faulty, or not as described.[/FONT]0 -
If they customer is not returning under DSRs (which is possible given both the sites you have mentioned offer 30 and 28 day return policy respectively) then they do not have to reimburse delivery.
However they should still be notifying consumers of their rights under the DSRs because if they dont, then that customers rights are extended up to a maximum of 3 months and 7 working days. Meaning the retailer would need to reimburse the delivery cost regardless what their "policy" is.
Would be interesting to know whether they are refunding orders cancelled within 7 working days or not though. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
There's an article about online stores not complying twith DSR and putting unfair clauses in their return policy:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-19910561
although the article doesn't say that things have actually improved, e.g.1.9
Where information was provided on the consumer's right to cancel, one in three sites in 2012 (33 per cent) appeared to impose restrictions or conditions on cancellation refund rights which infringed the consumer's right to reasonably inspect and assess the product. For the sites comparable with 2011, 55 per cent appeared to impose such restrictions in 2012, significantly down from 71 per cent in 2011.0
