Barclays credit card PPI

Hi,

I had a credit card with Barclays years ago and i have no idea if i was charged PPI and i can't find any paper work for the card, is there anything i can do when i have no proof? Would Barclays have records?

Many thanks in advance :)

If you don't even know whether or not you had PPI on this historic credit card account, what makes you think PPI was mis-sold to you?

    Move on, life's too short...;)
  • Look up writing a SAR letter to you bank, in which you pay £10 and they send all information they have on you and if you had p.p.i. Aditi do you work for the banks?

The quickest way to find out is to ring them and ask.

You do have to have a provable reason to claim anything back.

and we will never, ever return.
  • Most places hold records up to 6 years from account closure. This usually is the protocol for most bank accounts so i would imagine it would apply for credit cards too. As Mckneff has said, it might just be easier to ring the Barclays number direct and see if they have access to archived information.

So no records of the account number on your ChequeBook or on a reference number on an old direct debit madate? just a thought...
