Hideous Heather

Popped into Homebase the other day for paint, and as usual ended up having a look around in the 'garden centre' Lo and behold they had trays and trays of spray painted heathers, in the most garish colours known to man, I had hoped that this stupid idea had passed, they are just so horrible!! (Maybe I should have put this on the Vents board )

As this is the gardening board, protesting about innocent vegetables being dug up and eaten, presumably?

They've been doing those 'dyed' heathers for a few years now, who would buy them for goodness sake? Hideous is the right word..

And had to go one better by being the Media's Mad Vegan of Choice instead.

Can anyone actually tell me why they do this spray painting,
presumably it will, eventually, return to its natural colour in time.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
