Ocado changing product quantity after ordering

I spotted a bargain on there on tuesday - high protein milkshakes, £2.49 for a pack of 8 (31p each). they are normally a little pricey, but i have seen them recently at asda reduced to clear at a similar price per bottle, so assumed that this was a reduced to clear offer, so stocked up as the listing clearly stated that it was a pack of 8.

ocado man turns up this evening with the equivalent number of bottles as i had ordered packs (in order to get over the £40 threshold i ordered 15 packs and some other bits, so the driver turned up with 15 bottles, not 15 packs).

i checked the order just before delivery whilst waiting for my footy game to start and didn't notice the quantity of the item had changed. i checked the site when i got home (just now) to find that they have changed the product description and not informed me until the order turned up. there's not a hope in hell i was paying £2.49 for a 330ml milkshake.

i rang ocado because they don't have my new number on file and they just confirmed the order was cancelled, offered no apology and bid me goodnight.

good news is that i can use the 20% off voucher again. bad news is that everything i'd want to order (bar these drinks) is much cheaper elsewhere.

I'm a bit confused - did the driver bring 120 bottles (15 x 8) or did he just bring 15 bottles? when you say the order was cancelled, do you mean they cancelled your original order then changed it to just 15 bottles?

The OP says that they ordered 15 packs. The driver bought 15 bottles.

Ocado subsequently changed the product description from pack to bottle.

OP ordered 15 packs as they knew it was likely to be a misprice, now is (justly) complaining about Ocado's handling of the misprice and lack of communication from them before sending the products at the correct price.

I didn't suspect it to be a misprice. I have both seen these at a similar price elsewhere and seen similar items on ocado at silly prices in the reduced to clear section
