Can I end early

Due to no bids received with only 12hrs to go ,I sold my item to a friend ,I need to cancel my auction can I do this and how do I do it,any advice.

Go to 'more actions' then click on 'end item' then choose 'Item is no longer available for sale' then it should end it.

go to my ebay
in selling section go to active listings
click more actions for the listing you want to end...follow instructions...i think you are asked to enter password again to confirm early ending of listing

For the sake of waiting 12 hours I would have waited for the auction to end. Of course it depends if you had a starting price or a reserve you were happy with.

The thing is that very often the peope who bid early are not the ones who actually win the auction. Also, bidders using a sniping service often don't bother, or need to, watch the item so you don't know there's interest in your item until 5 seconds to go...
