in Credit cards
Hi all. Long and short is. I hired a minibus and paid for it with my credit card. The hire company also took a further £500.00 from my card two days before the agreed hire date as a safety deposit. The minibus was returnrd to their custody on 1st Aug 2012. Their TnC's say the deposit will be re-credited to my card when the vehicle was returned. After many phone calls and e-mails I am being fobbed off by this company and they have no intention off paying me back. My credit card company have told me that I need to get them to show an intent to pay by a certain day, and for them not to pay me by that day for them to action my claim/concern. I feel like I have been completely let down by my credit card provider and simply just dont know how to proceed other than getting legal advice as I feel this is theft. Pls, can anyone help?

Make a complaint in writing to both parties, but your card company is equally liable. Though, as you didnt BUY something not sure section 75 applies. If you keep on doing what's you've always done, you'll keep on being what you've always been...:think:0

Send the card company a copy of the t&Cs and advise them of when you returned the vehicle.0 -

It sounds as if your credit card company is talking rubbish. Anyway, you have the option of taking them to court (small claims track): under the circumstances you have described you would win, and the court would order them to repay you the deposit as well as the court fee. You can do this at any point within the next six years.0 -
