Hi all, do you know who is the cheapest to do this? I'm joining Sky and they'll do it for free but not until end of October and as I work from home, I'm looking to get it installed asap and get back online. Any advice or suggestions welcome, thanks.

They also do not provide business-class services, only residential. So if you have business-critical needs, they are not worth considering.0

Lol, thanks both, I'll get in touch and see how quickly they can install0

I'm currently with virgin for telephone and internet. I have tv with sky. This is the most expensive combination I find. I don't want to leave sky for virgin tv. Other family members have virgin and we prefer sky tv to virgin tv (better menus, handsets etc). Though I would be prepared to leave sky and rejoin to get a better bundle offer. My sticking point is that to get cheaper bb or phone (e.g plusnet, primus) recommended on these boards is that I don't have a BT line and its so expensive to get one installed (£150), but I can see I can get it for £60 from post office as you recommend here and that is the cheapest I've seen so I think I might do that. Is there any cheaper offers out there? Thanks a lot.0

Also I rang Primus. They have a homesaver offer not mentioned on here - of a free line installed, monthly charge for this incl line rental, free eve/wkend calls, 20gb broadband, 12 month contract, free line install, £4.95 delivery charge for router is £13.99 pm. I thought that was super as well.0

Have you read the various reports about Primus ?0 -
I'm just working my way through the MSE page about how to get cheap broadband so I'm just pricing at the moment but reviews will be a key part of my decision. So thanks for the reminder. Bad reviews is the key reason why I will not look at talk talk ever!Have you read the various reports about Primus ?0 -
Since it's BT OR who do the install regardless of your provider, the install lead time will not vary. 4 weeks is perfectly normal for a new line provision. No free lunch, and no free laptop
