Hi everyone.
I've just recently purchased a new build home, which I am now in the process of decorating (on the cheap). I have always had a thing about chandeliers and love the extravagant, romantic type ones. However, I have learnt that these do not come cheap!
Therefore, I've decided to purchase 2 of these for my living room:

They are fairly plain and I would love to customise them in a drastic way, maybe adding beads or diamantes - any ideas people? I am on a budget so can only afford to spend an extra £20 in total.
Thanks!

Strings of beads draped over them?Could go with round beads, oval, plain or faceted, even swarovski beads.
Take a look at some jewellery making supply sites, you'd be amaze how cheap it can be!Avoid craft shops though as they're a rip off!
will see if I can remember where I used to get my supplies from!If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
Just to add, would you be able to change the colour-find something to paint it with?If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0

I like that, but they're a bit pricey- especially as I need 2.0 -
Also worth pointing out is make sure that anything you do decide to drape on the light fitting is heat and fire proof ! last thing you want is a house fire. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Ok, so I've deciced I'm going to string beads onto the arms of the chandeliers. Does anyone know where I can get jewellery hooks from? I have an old beaded chandelier in the loft, which I'll take the beads off and hook them on. Also, what glue is best for this kind of job?0
