I was only answering a question as the poster thought i was telephone , which I do not prefer

we were on about branch and phone - still an adviser keying the loan

on internet its all the customer responsiblity by what is keyed

I explained i was (then 8 years employed). My company offered more than adequate cover for the loan and i wasn't interested. They made out that i had to have it and that the PPI and the loan would be re - negotiated in a years time (next month) to see how i was coping and hopefully to lower the rate.

I don't mind saying and although i cannot really prove this it was all very pressured and rushed as if by speeding the process up i wouldn't have a handle on the figures etc?

I understand if someone gives a reason and does not want ppi - understandable - just means they are responsible themselves

but regarding being 8 years employed - my dad worked at same firm (well MOD, not firm)for 20 years with all the benefits - never thought it would happen but got made redundant, then got diagnosed with something. Took him a good while to find a job with same level of pay and benefits, so do remember jobs are never safe,. regardless of who they are
