What petty squabbling - and what a great face of LTSB you are. Superb. Very mature.0

WHat I find strange is if you apply for a Lloyds loan via internet banking they dont appear to do an external credit search. However if you go into a branch then a search is carried out.0

And that is why the rates are less competitive than via the net.0 -
Andy if you worked in a bank you would not say what you are saying - honestly.0

To the best of my knowledge - they do!
I just took out a loan with LTSB via internet banking in Feburary and there is a search entry showing on my experian credit report.Whilst my posts do not constitute financial advice, I am always, without fail, 100% right!0 -
Ok ok... anyway It's not the greatest advertisment for Lloyds I must admit if their "seeming" own staff are arguing amoungst themselves.
I realise i was daft getting into it but i've left a message saying i've been offered a loan amount at a far more competitive rate. Get it down to the 7.4%, REPAY my loan protector and i'll be a happier bunny.

You have to show proof that you have been accepted for the lower APR loan and your credit score has to be very good to get a lower rate.
Good luck0 -

Why should loan protection be re-paid? Do you believe it was mis-sold?0 -
Yes i do towseriv.
I explained i was (then 8 years employed). My company offered more than adequate cover for the loan and i wasn't interested. They made out that i had to have it and that the PPI and the loan would be re - negotiated in a years time (next month) to see how i was coping and hopefully to lower the rate.
I don't mind saying and although i cannot really prove this it was all very pressured and rushed as if by speeding the process up i wouldn't have a handle on the figures etc?
Well it worked!
