Done a whoopsie!

Well, after wondering how the people who say 'managed to refund buyer in full when trying to do a partial on paypal' actually managed to make such a !!!!-up, I have now done it myself! Refunded in full instead of refunding the postage difference. Thing is, I'd already sent the item. Whoops.

Have messaged the buyer and sent an invoice, this was Tuesday night though, item will have arrived yesterday and not heard a sausage from the buyer! What a surprise!

Item was £25...so not cheap! Fingers crossed I hear from them. The postage address was her work address and she appears to have a job that requires her to be a pillar of the community so perhaps I'll be lucky.

  • Most people I encounter on eBay are honest and above board. Given the situation, I think you'll be pretty unlucky to stumble upon the small dishonest "something for nothing" minority.

A pillar of the community, eh? I've encountered a few of them too. Maybe I spoke too soon... ;)

[I wonder how many of those Olympic torches being sold entirely for charity by those pillars of the community actually resulted in a charity actually receiving any cash whatsoever?] :D

Are those usually the ones that have fleeced sums that look like telephone numbers and usually seen on TV?

Oh yes, the only scammer that I absolutely *know* beyond doubt was a scammer and tried it on with me was a New York Lawyer, and his wife a fairly prominent High school head teacher.

Haha. She appears to be a teacher.

Still not a sausage. I know it's my own fault though.
