You could try suggesting that he uses a squirt of shampoo instead of FL because when you snuggle up you don't really want to be reminded of your dirty dishes by sniffing FL on his skin and it's killing the *romance*
Thanks for making me laugh Queenie (buy a pig:D )!
Failing that (FL smell killing the romance).......tell him he smells like a Fairy!:rotfl:10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -

Thanks Queenie, that's great
Awwww, thankQPlease excuse me while I print off your quote and paste it around the house so my sweet family realise that *someone* appreciates me
Actually, I have a couple of bottles of shampoo/conditioner which was absolute crepe which I have sneaked into the bathwater for froth and fragrance when kind heartedly, thoughtfully and most generously running the bath for a world weary dh. Ahhh, yes, what the eye doesn't see the heart most definately does not grieve over
Er ... Nile .... I wasn't joking!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ashmit - tried to post this yesterday but PC was playing up. However, in light of the 'fairy' comments, maybe you ought to get OH to read this. I found it on a BBC website. Maybe there's more to being a fairy than just wearing the little dresses.....

Rubber gloves: As mentioned above, dishwasher detergents are ferocious, but even ordinary washing-up liquids contain chemicals that mimic the female hormone, oestrogen. These molecules are small enough to pass through your skin so you should wear rubber gloves while doing the dishes, especially if you're a man. You might think this makes you look uncool but, if this worries you, remember you can buy butch black rubber gloves, designed for building work and car maintenance. They work just as well as thin pink or yellow gloves. Also damage to your male pride is easier to fix than changes to your body chemistry3.

Rinsing is important. As well as containing oestrogen-like molecules, washing-up liquids are poisonous. Drunk in relatively small quantities they will make you ill; large quantities will kill you outright. Very few people drink large quantities because it tastes disgusting (though you should protect children), but many people swallow minute quantities of dishwashing liquid with their food and drink because traces are left on glasses, china and cutlery after they've been washed.
After washing your dishes, rinse them. If you don't have twin sinks, use a washing-up bowl and have a cold tap running beside it.0 -

That would definitely put him off!
THanks everyone0 -
Well looks like you've all decided against the fairy liquid anyway but I'll just add that when working at a waitress at some posh do, I overheard one of the men saying he'd had a bath in fairy liquid and all his hair had fallen out! Yes I know...eavesdropping...but you tend to have to listen to weird things like that!0

Can I just add that when me and my sis were small and my grannie used to run us a bath, she put Fairy Liquid in. It made my lady bits sting (obviously not a problem to OP's husband!). It is also very, very drying and as ticklemouse found, is generally just not nice stuff!
Although, I remember my dad once used it to wash his hair:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: He had completely stripped it of it's natural oils and it stuck straight up until the got back to their normal levels :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I used to know a window cleaner, and he swore by Fairy over any other brand, because he claimed it really was kinder to his hands- and think how many times a day his hands were in the water!
My dad used to wash his hair with washing up liquid- he claimed it got rid of all the grease, although he did suffer from a dry scalp too. Maybe he should have used Fairy- we always had the cheap really watery stuff, as they thought it was better value (I think it's false economy)
I buy bath stuff when it's bogof...put some nice smelling Radox Lavender into a purple Fairy Liquid bottle- he'll never know the difference.:jMember of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
