who has most say on completion date

I am at the bottom of the chain of 4 houses, I am I the one with the most say about when completion happens?

I guess I would be as if I don't move no one above me can?

Comments

  • You probably are in the strongest position, but it doesn't mean you get it all your own way. The chain needs to work together to ensure completion works for everyone, which means you need to be flexible and consider everyone's needs.

Just suggest your preferred dates and see what everyone says.

If the one at the top doesn't move where does their buyer move into and so on down the chain?

In other words no-one has "more say", you all need to agree on a suitable date and if you all can't agree then the chain collapses and everyone loses out.

  • No one does - assuming you actually want to buy the house you'll have to agree a date!
