Will get 2 pairs for about 1/3rd price of getting them from opticians:eek: may see if I can try and get a third pair so I can get a pair of sunglasses too. If not will just wait and order some more next year. Will want to list some bits on fleabay to recoup
Cancel BT - still not got round to this
Call boss to see if he will agree to paying me a couple of weeks holiday so I can work a bit later before I go on MAT leave, should suit us both as they have yet to find a replacement. Hopefully he sees it he same way :rotfl:

ok my list is as follows:-
- checked bank account (done)
- cook dinner from supplies (all planned out)
- walk to and from second shop to get milk and bread as its load cheaper than the one just down the road (after work finishes later on)
- worked out some bills and reduced monthly payments by cutting stuff we dont need/ can cut down on - this has saved me so far 85£ for every subsequent month. Ive got another 11£ to work on when i finish work. (I'm starting to be brutal about what we really need or dont)
- work 2 jobs full time around each other - struggling with this today I must be out of practise!!:rotfl:
- foned pc world to complain that equipment i bought less than 2 months ago has stopped working, want a refund not a replacement as their products seem to be rubbish - that should be a £45 refund for something that has worked succesfully just 8 weeks:mad:
- cancel AA membership later today that has already been cancelled and billed to my credit card taking me over my credit limit - get a refund on that as well. already got cover via my bank account.
- some of my home pt job tonight (if i can fit it in) - life is getting pretty hectic at the moment.
- price up purchase of new it equipment via quidco - seen what i need with a 10% off and a £5 back by leaving a review - total saving should be 12.90 which does very nicely thankyou

This is the basic recipe I use, but I do vary the dried fruit and nuts so sometimes I use dried apricots and almonds, or chopped mixed nuts with dried blueberries. Just whatever I fancy/have in the cupboard really!!
200g jumbo rolled oats (I use Tesco value!)
50g chopped walnuts
4tbsp clear honey (again Tesco value works fine)
Finely grated zest and juice of 1 orange
2tbsp caster sugar
A large pinch of cinnamon
50g dried cranberries
Place oats and walnuts in slow cooker dish. Warm the honey, orange zest and juice, sugar and cinnamon in a small pan over a medium heat until dissolved and combined. Pour over the oats and mix well to coat evenly.
Do not cover the slow cooker, but turn on to high and cook for an hour*, stirring occasionally.
Cover with the lid, reduce to low and cook for a further four hours*, stirring every hour, until crisp.
Tip the mixture out onto a cold baking tray and sprinkle with the cranberries. Leave until cold then use immediately or store in an airtight container until needed. The granola will last up to a month (or a few days in my case)
* You may need to adjust the cooking times for your model of slow cooker. I find mine only needs 3/4 hour for the first stage and 3 hours for the second or it gets far too crispy and a bit singed.
If cooking in a conventional oven just keep looking at it every 5 minutes or so and turn once or twice. I just play it by ear really.....
