Thursday 20th September - What small DFW things will you be doing today?

:rotfl: When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:rotfl:
Well I'm shattered. I decided to sort out some paperwork that had been bugging me for weeks and I was still at it at 2am! Still it's done now and the folder of documents looks like work of art and I did a lot of the printing onto half sheets of unused paper from the recycling.
Today I shall:
*Go to the Theatre Royal in Glasgow to see the Mousetrap. It's only cost £2.50 because I had £20 Leisure Vouchers which I was given at work as a reward and if you sit in the Balcony you get an amazing view and the tickets are only £10-£15 compared to £20-£60 nearer the stage. On the negative side you have to climb a million stairs! The Theatre doesn't take Leisure Vouchers but if you send them to the Theatre Tokens office in Covent Garden they will send you Theatre Tokens for the price of a stamp.
*Take own drinks and snacks into the theatre.
*Eat in Burger King using vouchers. 2 Meals for £7. It's still expensive but I've budgeted for it. Vouchers are available here: http://www.burgerking.co.uk/ if anyone wants them. :T
*Chase court for £25 jury expenses that are a fortnight late and chase Quorn refund
*Tried my luck for free coffee here and was successful. No purchase necessary: http://www.shopscansave.co.uk/#/join/4566664599
*Print free vouchers for Fish and Chips and other offers at BHS from here: http://www.bhs.co.uk/cms/pages/static/static-0000035603/files/FoodVouchers_summersavings.pdf
*Plan my transport into Glasgow. I can't remember what time the theatre starts and my partner's asleep in the room where the tickets are! If it's an evening show I know where I can park for a £1. If you use car parks a lot it's worth looking at Parkopedia. You can see the locations and costs of car parks really easily.
*Check OnePoll and Grass Roots.
*Read papers online. Interesting article about Ryanair price claims here: http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2012/09/19/ryanair-ad-banned-by-watchdog_n_1896431.html?utm_hp_ref=uk
*Put homemade bird feeder back out for free entertainment. :j
*Chat to friends and family through Facebook.
*Buy 'Try Me Free' Ocean Spray Cranberry: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/deals/bargains-deals-discounts#deal21809
Have a DFW day everyone.

Morning ally and all those who follow. Last day in the office today and it's going to be a BAD one. I've got 6 months of bank statements to enter onto our new computer system then reconcile them. I can feel my stress levels building already and I haven't even left the house yet.

- knit at lunchtime to avoid the shops
- keep an eye on surveys throughout the day
- drink coffee/water at work
- DH to make bread
- jacket potatoes for dinner whilst oven is on for bread
- make granola whilst oven is on for bread
- have an NSD
