Paypal INR dispute *sigh*
vee-licious
Today I got home to a series of emails from Paypal saying 2 INR cases have been opened and escalated by a buyer.
The buyer is from USA, I am in the UK, they bought 2 items, I shipped them together using Paypal postage.
1) The case was opened after just 9 days (including the weekend).
2) I had no previous communication from the buyer
3) I was not able to add any comments to the case to support my side of things
4) Paypal closed one case in favour of the buyer after just a few hours
5) The buyer then closed the other case.
I emailed Paypal and got a generic reply. I have not been able to argue my case at all. I didn't send the item tracked but even so, an item can take up to 14 days and sometimes longer to arrive. I don't feel I have been treated fairly and have been given no way of fighting my corner. Very frustrated right now! Looks like all postage will have to be tracked from now on, which means my sales will go down

Unfortunately what has happened to you is the reason myself/& many others will not ship to the USA.
Their buyers seem to expect fast delivery, however when they sell to the UK it seems we should wait at least a month for delivery!0 -
It seems even Paypal expect fast delivery too, its one thing having the case open but closing it on the same day? Royal Mail wont let me claim yet either. The only other time something like this happened is when I first started, I sent a high value item to Italy, the buyer opened and escalated a case very quickly, I told him to allow up to 30 days for delivery, and I updated the Paypal case with this information, then on the 30th day, the case was closed in my favour.2013 wins: Nothing yet

You need to phone as has been mentioned above. Paypa should not be opening and closing a dispute in the same day as that is against their t and cs- there is either more to this , or something has gone horribly wrong.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. paypal closing the case on the same day doesn't make sense. Call them. I have posted over 100 items to the US and only 1 was never received...luckily was only 5.99 the items usually take 7-16 days to arrive. Once however i posted out something to the US on a friday and it got there on monday and stuff i posted with it to the UK hadn't arrived with buyers...go figure0

Though I block overseas bidders from bidding on all large, heavy items unsuitable for overseas shipping, I still get occasional enquiries from USA, about overseas shipping costs...
I've even had one try to inform me that because I supplied a shipping cost to the UK only, I therefore had to honour the same amount for shipping to his American address! :rotfl:
