I have just recieved a reminder that i have been charged a late penalty fee of £12 on my Barclaycard visa credit card. This is the first time i have recieved in probably last 2-3 years. This is due to forgetfullness as opposed unaffordabilty. Will this affect my imminent mortgage offer? Thanks. Steve0

Hopefully it'll have been processed before your late payment hit.
Any news?Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683
Total £8601 Was £393020 -
I have called the credit card customer services line and some women with an Indian accent said she will wipe off the late charge if i pay up on the spot which i have. I hope it does not get recorded on my credit footprint. I was on paperless statements and i don't recall them sending an email reminder. Anyway, i will get paper statements from know on so i wont miss the reminder next time! So much for trying to do my bit for the envrionment and trees and all that - got me in trouble in the end!
Have not heard nothing yet from the lender. Although it will be four weeks this Friday since survey was done on the property. Everytime i call the line i get told it is with the underwriters. They are not waiting for any info so that is good news. It has been with the underwriters for the last 2 days and been told it will take another 24-48 hours.
I have been told an email has been sent to the processing team to let them know i am chasing.

I think you will be ok. 1 late payment I think is passable - I read here when it hits 2 they will frown on it.
Fingers crossed - afraid it'll be a long weekendDebt - CCV £3792

This makes no sense, unless you have changed solicitors mid process.
The solicitors are not even involved up to the mortgage offer, so think you need to ask a few more questions...
Good luck
Dave,
The Lender wanted to know from my solicitors who the sellers solicitors were. I have been informed they need to check this to prevent fraud.
Thanks

Still waiting to hear from Lender and have been informed it's been with underwriters for 3 days now and they don't take more than five days to make their decision. So i will hear result early coming week fingers crossed.
I am very nervous and anxious as not sure what the outcome will be. I honestly thought as i had recieved an offer already that changing the property details was a instant, straightforward thing with the same lender. How wrong i was as it's been three weeks since survey. Although i cannot think any reason why offer will be declined, as my situation has not changed since the first offer, the length of time taken says to me they have found something wrong and hence are taking time investigating it.
Has anyone else been through a similar situation where you have changed property details on an existing offer? what was the outcome positive or negative?
Thanks. Steve0 -
I'll he honest a change of property and reoffering should take a week at most from the survey coming back in. Something aint right here!!!0

Thanks Simon. The delay has been partly caused by the solicitors taking two weeks to respond to a lenders query about sellers solicitor details. This has been provided to the lender a week ago.

I have been told that sometimes Lenders pick out a case randomly to run an audit to make sure their systems are working and check information provided on the application form is truthful etc. This could be the reason for unusual delay in getting the offer out. I hope this is so in my case.

Steve
I believe now-a-days the lenders have this so called 'random number generator' which keeps generating number of all the applications to be auditted
So much for the random checks... LOL0
