How does BGas Click Energy operate?

hi

Can any existing BGas Click Energy customers answer this question for me?

Can I provide BGas with meter readings once a month, and they calculate the bill there and then while I'm online or do they only bill once a quarter based on previously supplied meter readings?

I'm with ScottishPower and their Online Energy account management is pretty good. Only thing I don't like about SP is their IGT tariff.

cheers

b

I put in meter readings regularly.
Somtimes I get a bill a few days later, sometimes not.
You definitely won't get it instantly.

Their website seems to be down about 50% of the time.

    Sorry.

Is it possible to log into the Click Energy account online and retrieve the most recent and/or old bills?

Yes, its pretty good for that. Lists all my previous bills, it also has a nice handy usage chart for my electricity, so tells me my average daily unit use (as long as you keep entering meter readings, I do it on a monthly basis).

On a side note, Energywatch got involved with my complaint of being in super credit on my account and BG are going to refund me (I will believe it when I get the money) and have given me another £20 credit "for the trouble" (although its all paper money, my electricity account is now £177 in credit)

    :D

Edit: LOL they have now for some reason re-issued my last bill, removed the £20 credit and put me back where I was, how incompetant can they get. God, its a comedy of errors with BG Click, if it was not the cheapest electricity I really would not bother.

This seems to be a regular occurence, their CS reps act on the info you give, correct any mistakes, and they think they have done their job as instructed/taught.

However their computer system often rejects the correction, leaving you back at square one. The Management know about it, but nothing seems to get done.:rolleyes2 :rolleyes2 :rolleyes2

How long do you have to wait after supplying your monthly meter reading before you can find out how much you will be billed ?

The ScotPower online account provides a calculation as soon as I enter my readings with a detailed bill available for download or viewing about 3 days later.

fwiw, I too had a super-credit on my account (gas & elec) earlier this year with ScotPwr. I asked them to reduce my direct debit monthly amount accordingly.
