Not sure which board - Lidl return policy?

Hello,
Sorry if this is the wrong board. Does anyone know what Lidl's return policy is? I was thinking about getting the monitor that is on offer on Thursday but have no experience of this brand and wondered if I'd be able to return it if I thought it was inferior. Thanks

Taken from their website: http://www.lidl.co.uk/
"Refund Policy
Our policy is that any food item purchased from a Lidl store will be automatically exchanged or refunded where a customer is not completely satisfied with the product. Similarly, this policy applies for any Non-Food item purchased that is faulty or damaged.
Any Non-Food item purchased that is found to be “unsuitable” will be refunded in full within 28 days of purchase on condition that it is returned in its original packaging with the receipt."
I have taken back small, cheaper products in the past with NO receipt and they have always honoured a full exchange. I've found them to be extremely helpful.

I'd ask before you buy it just to be sure; when I was considering buying a CD player in my local branch they told me if I bought it and it didn't have the feature I wanted, it was basically tough, because they would only take back faulty products.
As they also wouldn't let me open the box to look at the manual and find out if it had the feature in question, I went elsewhere.0 -
Kinda contradicts their policy as written above lol0

As cuddles mentions, best to check in branch beforehand. My only gripe with a Lidl's purchase were some oranges that I was overcharged for & only noticed when I checked the receipt after I got home.
The following week I took the receipt in to get a refund of the overcharge, but the manager told me it wasn't possible as I hadn't called their attention to it at the time of purchase or before leaving the storeNo other supermarket I've used has this kind of policy, especially when it's the store in the wrong, not the customer, so I always double check everything when making a purchase from Lidl now.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
I agree - Lidl don't make life easy if you need to return - I took a car polisher back and at first they didn't want to know, then they said they would have to send me a cheque (it only cost £12.99) then they said I could exchange it for other goods!!! Aldi are far better as far as refunds are concerned
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try getting in bed with a mosquito!

anything over 9.99 gets refunded by cheque at Lidl0

Our local Lidl will only give a refund on faulty items, and only if you have your receipt. I took faulty wellies back with no receipt, was referred to Head Office, and they said no refund without receipt.
I also returned a set of car headlight bulbs because they were the wrong ones, this time with receipt, and was told no refund unless faulty.
Aldi are much more flexible, will take faulty stuff without receipt and anything at all with receipt.0
