Balance Transfer to 0% card

I recently came to the end of my 0% period on Barclaycard. I am thinking of transfering my remaining balance to a new 0% deal before paying it all off, but I've had a few letters telling me I can get 0% till next year on balance transfered to my Barclaycard from other cards.
I'm a little confused. Does this mean that if I stick with Barclaycard (and transfer a small balance I have on another card) then they'll extend the 0% period, or is that 0% only applied to the transfered amount?
Grateful if anyone could clear this up so I can go ahead

Any 'new' transfer will go onto the 0% deal. The current balance will remain at your standard APR until paid or transferred elsewhere.0

The offer normally only applies to new balance transfers (although you could ask!)
If you have another credit card you could transfer the current barclaycard balance on to it then back to barclaycard at 0% interest, but there will be two sets of BT fees to pay and a few days of interest on the other card.
This may still be cheaper than the interest you would have paid, depending on how long the new 0% offer lasts for.We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.

Get yourself another card from a provider that does continual 0% offers. MBNA seem to do this - I can't think of a time when they weren't trying to induce me to transfer a balance to my existing card. That way, when one deal runs out, your other card is likely to have an 0% offer that you can transfer to. Only thing is that the MBNA offers only last around 12 months.0
