Hi all
Complete newbie to paypal, Ive just bought my 1st ever purchase from ebay (want some feedback, so I can sell some stuff!!) & Ive verified my bank acc, so that Im appearing as "UK- Verified" now, Ive bought a cheap "buy it now" CD from a seller, using the debit card Ive registered. Its saying, that the funds wont clear into his account until 12th april, & I bought it a few days ago. The money has left my account, but its still saying "pending" at paypal. The seller, is ok about it, as Ive explained, that I think Ive done evrything right.
The only thing is, since I want to buy more items, will it always take this long, if using a debit card?! Im sure other sellers wont want to wait 2 weeks for payments, so want to get it sorted for my next purchase.
Also, it seems if you register a credit card, its pretty instant. Is this the only way I can pay a seller instantly (not keen on doing this unless I have to!)???
Any help, would be really appreciated

It sounds like your payment has gone through as an e-cheque. You say you've added your bank account to PayPal but have you actually added the debit card itself (Maestro/Visa)?-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Think it might have. I was sure Id added my debit card (visa), will go & have another look. If Im paying via a debit card, how long SHOULD a payment usually take?

If you buy anything expensive with paypal, make sure you fund it with a CREDIT cardMy TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Credit card? Is this because it protected? By pay pal or CC company?0

A credit card gives you better protection. You're able to contact your credit card issuer and do a chargeback if something goes wrong with the transaction.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

You're protected (ostensibly) by paypal, but if paypal let you down, your credit card people will most likely save the day.
If you used a debit card, your bank will tell you to go whistleMy TV is broken!
