Enhanced CRB check times

I've just been offered a job and can't start till the CRB comes back and I was wondering what kind of times others have had to wait? Here's my info copied from the tracking service.
Stage 1 (Application Form received and validated): Completed on 18 Sep 2012
Stage 2 (Police National Computer searched): Completed on 19 Sep 2012
Stage 3 (ISA Children, ISA Adults, List 99 searched): Completed on 19 Sep 2012
Stage 4 (Records held by the Police search): In Progress
Stage 5 (Disclosure Printed): Not Started
I have no criminal history and have only ever lived in Cambridgeshire, what kind of time would I be looking at before I could start?
(Sorry if it's been asked before, I'm just impaitent and want to start working)

CRB say their standard processing time is 6 weeks. However, where I work, an average CRB normally only takes 2-3 weeks to come back to us. However, at this time of year (last few weeks leading up to start of academic year) there's a big increase in the number of CRB checks going in ( new teachers, teaching assistants, school support staff etc) and this can create a back-log. At this time of year we expect to wait 4-6 weeks for most applications, although some do come back sooner.0

P.S. Judging by the tracking progress of your application, I'd be surprised if it took as long as 6 weeks to come back but depends on CRB printing/issuing workloads.0

Last CRB I had done (by disclosure scotland) took almost 3 months to do and then they sent it to me rather than my client by mistake0

this time of year can be bad as they will need to be doing students for social work, teaching and midwifery type courses...
Having said that my sisters took about 2 weeks not long ago, and mine this time last year took about 3.5 weeks (and others on my course had theirs back before me)...
I'd say allow a week for printing and posting (it will have to be stuffed in an envelope probably the day after printing or late in the afternoon of, and will probably come out second class)...
it doesn't look like it will be too long...

We do a lot of enhanced CRBs in my workplace and they've been taking about 4 weeks to come back recently.
Some do turn up sooner and the odd one takes a lot longer!Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0 -
My daughter filled in the forms on 30th August and the CRB check came yesterday - so just under 3 weeks. HTH0

A disclosure or PVG as it is now is normally sent to both the individual and the prospective employer. You need it yourself to correct any mistakes.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -
