is trying to claim bank charges a waste of time for me??

hi, just seeing if anyone can give me any advice as if trying to claim old bank charges could be a waste of time for me?

these charges I uncurred where during 1999 - 2002 due to being a skint student a going into overdrafts/defaulting a a loan and getting charges on top of charges and eventually the debts being taken over by another company and me paying them off..

As much as I was in hardship then, im not now, but just thought i would give it a try....

will this be a complete waste of time??
