  • I love all of the Whittards hot chocolates.. they do really interesting flavours. They quite have them on offer too but still fairly expensive. The other half and I have accumulated 9 different flavours on our shelf. Think one of my favourites is the rhubarb white chocolate =]
  • Simple old cocoa made with hot milk (preferably full fat!) and a bit of sugar to sweeten it for me!

I like the Options hot chocolate with ginger, however it is a limited edition one and I have only seen it in sachets in the past few years.

I'm not sure if it has already been posted but the jars of options are £2 in Tesco.

Sainsbury's basics fairtrade hot chocolate. Very good value, make with hot water (I add a bit of milk too and make the kids with all milk). Lovely and chocolatey.

The best hot chocolate I ever had was from a cafe called Boston Tea Party, I had white hot chocolate with marshmallows in it....OMG!!! as for ones available from the shops, I think the best is Galaxy, it's rich and thick and is really nice with a dusting of cocoa on top

  • nice choice to celebrate it, or you can do one thing more. Bring a empty bottle and fill the chocolate in it :)
  • I have to say that my kids always insisted that Cadburys Hot Choc was the best and ONLY one they would drink. That was until some sneaky devil kept refilling the jar with ASDA or Morries value choc powder:rotfl::rotfl: They now know the truth and prefer the cheap options as they are not so sickly sweet and with what I save they get to have squirty cream on top as a treat occasionally .

We are currently working our way through a HUGE stash of choc powder from AP, I think it was from Coffee Nation originally.

I love the whittards ones but they can be a bit to sweet sometimes.

My fav is Waitrose own brand essential Dark Hot chocolate its lovely dissolves well and not to sweet.

I was gutted when thorntons stopped doing strawberry white hot chocolate a couple of years back so make our own version. Use nesquick strawberry make with hot milk and add white chocolate buttons. Squirty cream and its not a bad substitute.

I have gone off some of the Galaxy ones they have mucked with the recipe and they seem to have added rather to much malt to some of them. I always check the jar before buying now. It was the sachets that were yuck i even complained to mars.
