How to refund only the postage costs?

I sold a pair of curtains last week, and the buyer contacted me a few days ago to tell me that when they arrived, they had to pay postage!
I called royal mail, and we basically agreed that that postage label must have come off during transit.
the buyer has been very amicable and understanding, and i have contacted them to explain what has happened.
Royal Mail has advised me to fill in a P58 form, and send if to them, along with the receipt of postage (which i have) and they will reimburse the buyer.
however, i think its unfair for the buyer to have to wait, so i would like to reimburse them myself, them royal mail can reimburse me direct.
The postage i paid was £5.30, and the postage the buyers had to pay was £6.30, i am happy reimbursing them the latter.
So, how do i just reimburse the postage cost?

go to the transaction page for this item in your paypal account. near the bottom there should be an option to refund. click the link and you will be told to enter the ammount you want to refund...doesn't have to be the full amount.
Paypal will refund the fees they charged you on that amount only. refund will automatically go to the buyer...you have an option to leave a message too. once done leave them an email to saying you have refunded the amount and are really sorry for any inconvience caused. That should keep them happy.0 -
Thanks very much
