Tenants Insurance - 4 Unrelated Adults

Hi there,
I've recently moved into a house share and upon adding my name to the home insurance, I was told that the home insurance policy was void. This is because HSBC home insurance only allowed 2 unrelated adults on the policy, the remaining adults need to be related to one of the two mentioned.
Since then I have called Aviva, More Than, Direct Line and HelpUCover, they have all stated the same thing.
Please can someone help me understand how can we, 4 unrelated adults get all of our contents insured? The landlord has buildings insurance, we need contents. Apart from our independant rooms, we also have a lounge that has home cinema system (so insuring rooms seperately wouldnt be an avenue to explore).
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I cannot believe that we are the first people to come across this!
Thanks:beer:

Endsleigh would be the obvious one to approach as they'll commonly come across similar situations.
Haven't looked into these things for a while but I am surprised you are having issues. I understood that most insurers will do it but exclude theft unless there is signs of forced or violent entry (same as if there are any unrelated individuals sharing)0 -

Google tenants insurance
You will each need to take out your own policy (if required) for your own personal effects. This doesn't necessarily mean within your own room where a shared tenancy is in effect.0 -
