claim rejected???

hi, i have just had my car stolen.
Since the original policy is several years old, i have always renewed with "no changes" to the policy.
in the meantime (2yrs ago) i had a no fault claim on my motorcycle policy and subsequently (having forgotten this - the car insurance is 10 months after the bike issue) still sent in the car renewal with no changes.
having submitted a claim, i notice on the form (and also on the original proposal) the question "has there ever been another claim - on any vehicle etc.". because i had simply allowed the renewal to go ahead with no changes, i.e. i didnt report the bike claim, i now feel i have given the insurance a reason to deny my car claim because my proposal was incorrect.
so my question is what do i do here? should i be up front with the claim handler and admit to a mistake (will they then throw out the claim?), or ignore it and hope they dont see it? Is honesty always the best policy

Assuming they believe it was an honest mistake they will most likely adjust your policy to reflect the claim and apply any additional premium for this and previous years.
If the vehicle is unrecovered they may just deduct this amount from the settlement cheque but may require it paid up front, especially if the vehicle is located and is repairable.0
