Cheapest Electric and Gas???

Hi All,

I know this is probably really difficult we are currently with SSE for Electric and Gas. We have just had a letter through saying they are going to increase utilities by 9%.

We live in Gloucestershire and we were just wandering what the best value for money organisation might be??!!

Many thanks.

    As Posted above!

Put your exact details into comparison site energyhelpline / uswitch etc. You need to input usage over one year for electric and gas, in Kws etc. Not what you pay monthly or Direct debit figures. You can get these from your bills or if online your usage figures for year.

Then decide, Cost, Service, Fixed or not?

There is no 'national cheapest', or we would all use them, It depends on your region and kWh consumption.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • I wanted to compare my current gas and electricity with Eon so sent the details to uswitch exactly as requested on their site. I sent the fax on the 9th September, chased them on the 13th, had a response saying it would be dealt with on the 14th and today i emailed back to say I had heard nothing and rthought their so called sevice to be very poor.
Are there any other comparison sites that can be relied on please?

Comparison sites are legion, I tend to use Switch with Which or Energy helpline.
BTW What is this 'FAX' of which you speak?

How long do you wait before you get a waiter coming to your table at McDonalds normally?

Can I ask why you didn't just input your details into their website to obtain an immediate comparison? Or call them on their freephone number to obtain a comparison?

Yes there are many other comparison sites available. Check out the MSE quide to obtaining cheap gas & electricity if you wish to take advantage of the unique cashback opportunities links from this site provide :)
