Hi,
My brother is a compulsive Gambler in which he is always goes overdrawn in the bookies using his debit card. Are there accounts that will not let reject your card if you have not enough funds in your account.
Many thanks.

TSB will do this for you for £10/month. Attempting to go overdrawn with a debit card will then simply be refused.
It's called 'Control account'.0 -

Or get a basic bank account for free.
I second the suggestion to go to Gamcare at the same time though. Even if he won't go overdrawn with a basic account, he'll still be gambling all his money away. Best to end the habit while also learning some discipline.urs sinserly,

It may be worth him opening an account such as the HSBC Basic Bank Account which does not come with a debit card, only a cash card, and has a strict cash withdrawal limit of £200 a day. He would find it remarkably hard to gamble large sums using such an account.urs sinserly,
