I turned on the central heating last night for the first time since before 'summer'. It's working fine but now we don't have any hot water :-(
Any ideas? Boiler and whole heating/plumbing system is only a year old. Is a valiant ecotech system.
Thanks

What does the pressure gauge say?
Should between 1 and 1.5bar
or could be airlock
or any number of things, I assume the KS picture is of a fortune teller?
You need to give more information0 -
Oh ok thanks, the pressure gauge says 1.9. What other information do I need to give?0

What is the actual model number of the beast?
Do you have a HW cylinder of some description?

The boiler is Eco tec plus 637 and we have a 300 l megaflo0

So its a system boiler then. There will be a motorised valve between the boiler and the unvented fitted after the pump. When the boiler is working and hot water demanded does the valve operate and the pipe from the valve to the cylinder get hot?

Can I be a pain here and ask something?
When you go to the boiler to turn on the central heating, did it have a dial that you turn?
And if so, have you perhaps turned it from hot water only to central heating only, instead of hotwater AND central heating?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
