Do I need to inform estate agents of harassment when selling?
I have now had to call the police due to it developing into nuisance phone calls on my mobile. It is obviously someone I know and has my number, but no one will own up to it.
We are also going to be selling our house soon, (unrelated to the weirdness, we just want 3-bed rather than 2-bed), and we need to know whether we have to inform the estate agents of the 'trouble'. It is non-malicious, and obviously directed at me and not the house. We don't think it's the neighbours as they don't have my number.
Do we have to tell the agents, and will this affect the house sale in any way?
Thanks.

Regardless of whether you tell the agent when you eventually agree a sale then the purchasers solicitor will expect to see a completed standard questionnaire to complete which covers 'disputes with neighbours' and the 'like' - this is the stage where you either disclose any factual information - or decline to answer (which should flag a potential problem)0

The question refers to disputes with neighbours. You don't have a dispute with a neighbour as you don't know who it is. So I'd say no.0

Welcome!
It's not obviously directed at you, some was at the house and that might continue unless the culprit is aware you have moved. How often is this occurring? IMO you might be best taking further steps to find out who is responsible, if it's someone you know you can honestly say to any future buyer that it was not a neighbour. Can the mobile phone company trace the calls? Can you put a CCTV camera up?
If you think it's more likely a 'joke' than malicious maybe make everyone you know aware that you are really stressed and upset that you can't move because of this.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Nothing to declare as ther is no indication this is anything to do with the house or neighbours.0

I am taking further steps, in that I have contacted the police and they are coming to take a statement in the next couple of days.
It's been going on since may, but it's extremely sporadic and has happened about 7 times in 5 months, culminating in the calls last week.
The police will hopefully be able to track the calls via my mobile provider (the calls came to my phone as Unknown, but the cops should be able to get more info from the network).
I have let all my local friends know via social media about how stressed I am, no one has owned up even though I mentioned the police. If it is a 'friend' they won't be for much longer...
As I said, none of my neighbours have my number, and we are on good terms with the people either side and have no issues with anyone else in the road or surrounding roads - we keep ourselves to ourselves.0 -
Don't say anything - there is nothing to say - especially to to EA!Gather ye rosebuds while ye may0

Any indication of who or why? Is it because you're selling or are you selling because of the harrassment?
The others are right, if it's not one of your neighbours, then there's nothing to declare, but you really have to find out who is behind it and what they are up to. Dont take stalking lightly although the police will no-doubt ignore you until you figure out who it is.Debt Free! Long road, but we did it
