Should i appeal my right to buy price?

I have applied for the right to buy. I got my valuation and am currently trying to arrange a mortgage. My next door neighbour has also applied and got his price today. His price was 35000 cheaper than mine! We are semi detached neighbours so houses are identical. The only difference is the garden. I am on a corner plot and have a large side garden. Is the garden really worth the 35000 difference?

Wow, I think I would question it, unless the plot is big enough to build a couple of flats or a bungalow on.

That's one hell of a difference.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Isn't the price you pay related to how long you've been living there?

So what have they valued the property at ? and what are the local prices for the same type of property?
How much discount are you getting and is it worth it?
Think you have to stay in the property for another 5 years after buying.
I would look at a good low rate 5 year fix or maybe offset and pay down the mortgage ASAP
