I would definitely move the door as it would give and be appear more spacious.

    Leave w/c in original position.

The next decision to make is do you want the shower at the end of the bath with a screen and if so move bath to the wall by the door and have the basin by the window but on the inside wall. Or if you are happy with a shower in the middle of bath with a shower curtain keep it as in your first post and have basin by the door.

  • looking at your new design, why not swap the toilet and basin
put the shower on the wall, with a screen. no need for a wall at end of bath

  • unless you are a really dedicated tree hugger & really want your wc pan sitting there with dirty water in it these things are horrible, you can't stand in front of the basin properly as the pan is in the way, still at least after a nite on the lash you can have a pea in the loo & be sick in the basin at the same time, no hold on if you did that you would be using curry & lager to flush the loo, ewwwwwwww
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

    Disgusting piece of equipment.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.
  • For the builders out there - how much is moving the toilet away from the soil pipe (as shown in diagram) going to add to the cost? Is it even feasible or more trouble than its worth? Also how much will building a wall at the end of the bath add to the cost?

I'm also a bit speechless about the basin-bog. In some ways (water saving) quite a neat idea, but in practice really strange and slightly distasteful.

Why do you need a wall at the end of the bath? None of us can work out why you need it. Just put the shower on the other wall by the door.

Extending the soil pipe along isn't complex. Should be no more than £200.

The most useful cheap alteration would be simply to hinge the door from the other side or change it to open outwards as in your later drawing.
I would forget the bidet issue not for fashion reasons, but because although they are only really important to piles sufferers and then only if there is no shower.
Most folks also under estimate how far they need to be set from the wall to provide sufficient knee room,, without drawing pictures:D:D

I would do what you can to retain the cupboard/shelf space, can be very handy and also decorative if open shelving used over.

If you can get what you want from that room then all well and good, but it will be difficult, you could try replacing the plate on the door from toilet to tardis;););),:o:o:o sorry.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • New layout with real items to scale. Is this viable? Thoughts please and thanks for your advice and help.

  • Looks very good.

Personally I would go for a corner basin just for the extra space.
