Trampolines?

We want a biggish one 12/14ft? Does anyone know where the best value can be got. I have six children and it will get used for years, so I don't necessarily want the very cheapest available.

Thanks, Ness.

I got mine from argos, it's only a little one but it was cheap, maybe if you look at ebay to start with to get an idea of the prices

I know someone who's daughter does tramopining at comp level and her advice to me was to alwasy get one as big as possible and if you can, get a retangular one over a round one

please however do not take these things as just un, they are lethal, don't let more than one child on at a time, don't ever let children go underneath them no matter if there is no one bouncing at the time and do get a cage, these simple rules will save your children from very serious injury

oh yes, make sure that the tramoline takes adults, nothing better than a bounce about

My sister got a large trampoline (not sure what size but it's much bigger than my ds 8ft one) from HERE She got a package deal, the trampoline, enclosure, weather cover and steps for about £100 less than anywhere else she had see. She's had it for about a year now and it's had just about every kid in the street on it and still looks as good as when she first got it. It's a Mad dash one.

    I bought mine from E-bay

I've only had it 6 months but no problems so far,I picked this one because the safety net goes in side the padding where some nets are on the outside of the padding and i thought the kids may fall down the side

Also they let me collect so saved £50 postage

I got mine at Netto last year one of their special offers, 12ft for £99.99 and got the cover from B+Q For £10.
Its about the right time of year for netto, lidl ect to get their specials in like this.
Its one of the best things we have ever got them (apart from the easy set up swimming pool) they have had hours of fun.

Woolworths have a sale on several big trampolines (some say superior quality) at the moment, including some packages that have safety nets etc. I don't know how much of a bargain they are but it might be worth you having a look at their website:

Just to throw a spanner in the works here, A word of warning.

Please please please be careful with these. Make a rule of one at a time on the trampoline. I have a daugher in a cast at the moment with a broken ankle and ruptured ligaments. She didn't even fall off:eek: There were two of them on it and she landed badly trying to walk across it, with her friend bouncing at the same time. She has missed 7 weeks of school as it is so painful she cannot put any pressure at all on it.

Just remember whilst they're great fun, they're potentially dangerous, even with a net.

    Sorry lecture over:D
  • Ebay, I bought a lovely 13ft one for £50, I had to pick it up locally and am very pleased with it. I went without nets in the end as there are pros & cons with the nets (a recent newspaper article but I can't remember which paper highlighted how easily accidents can happen with the nets).

Its a very popular addition to the garden but think about the size of it first - many are on Ebay because people buy them and then realise that they have no room left in their garden. The 13ft one in our garden looks huge - and we have about 1/4 acre out back!
