    How do I contact her, I phone her at her sisters but am limited to the length of time I can talk as her sister says she's not allowed to be on the phone for more than 5 mins.

    I know it's only a couple more days - - but could you and your wife talk on Skype for free for more than 5 mins a day? Do they not have Internet access out in Leading Tickles?

    I think you are missing the point.

    Some people are awkward because they can be. There is no rhyme or reason to their behaviour, and anything "new" such as skype won't be used because it means they are losing control.

    Anyway Santander have a history of randomly freezing people's accounts, and also losing them. One reason why when they took over the RBS branch I banked with I closed my account with them.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

    (If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

    In fastforward's case I think its a simple fraud security check that is the issue. And this is something ALL banks will do. As they have to have security systems in place to protect not only themselves, but also customers money.

    As to the Op. That is a totally diffrent case. And the mention of "Something 3 1/2 years ago" which has not been expanded upon. Means it could be anything that is the cause of the issue.
