  • Theres a lot off similarities. Working with people, coaching, supervising, customer care.
My jobs a cross between a nurse and a shop keeper!
Only "nurse" 2 or 3 x a month, but nice to keep hand in. Is very varied though. Obviously recruit, performance manage, teach, answer complaints, risk assess, audits, roster management, appraise, order....
Today Ive been doing some training with deputies.

That is young for a TIA. Thank goodness it was a TIA and not a stroke, must have been very scary though.

    Are you on clopidogrel?

Tbh it wasn't that scary ... I know that sounds crazy to say but for me it was an amorosus fugax ( sp) so when I went blind I was kinda just checking to see exactly how blind I was ... I didn't think it was a tia or anything, in fact I got up and went and did a 13.5 hour shift, I didn't really think much more about it, it was only when I told the dr what had happened a few weeks later ( was in seeing him about something else) and he started doing these tests in me and I said dr that's the tests for a stroke, and he said yep I think you've had a mini one ... Only then did I panic lol

The only medication I have been put on is the 75mg aspirin ... I was in lisinospril as well but my hair started to fall out and my cognitive function was really really bad ( it's still not great tbh) so I went back and got my BP double checked and came off the BP tablets
  • Clopidogrel has similar affects to aspirin. Thanks goodness your bp is better as they seem very extreme side effects. Are you still working if your cognitive function still affected?

I havn't stopped working .. Have never taken a day off for it at all ... It's not that bad .. Well ... I think it's bad but other people don't seem to notice it, my husband now notices it finally an sees when I am struggling to get the words out and usually helps me out ... He says I'm still smarter than the average bear so I've not to worry:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: but I get a bit stressed about it all sometimes tbh, although I'm slowly getting better at accepting it... I'll soon be using it to my advantage ;)

It's been great catching up with everyone both here, and on other diaries. But I'm afraid that my working week has caught up with me and my bed is calling....

So night, night MFWs and hopefully catch-up again over the weekend X

    Good Morning!

    I'm committing my day's tasks to writing, so here goes;

    Go to lady-gym
    Clean kitchen
    Clean bathroom
Put loose covers from sofa into washing machine
Put another washing load into machine
    Use TD:love:
    Hoover
Put all excess crap and shoes currently cluttering porch away
    Mop porch
    Mop kitchen
    Mop bathroom
    Mop hall floor
    Change bedding
    Put clothes away
    Put on music and strip
Try not to eat biscuits, or crisps, or chocolate for entire day

    Phew!
