    So far today, I have been very, very, very, very, very lazy. So, it's list time folks;

    Take dog out (once I finish my cup of tea:D)
    Deep clean kitchen
    Run hoover over all rooms (not kid's rooms though, as the closed doors serve their purpose;))
    Deep clean bathroom
    Take son into town - try to avoid any supermarket shopping
    Locate Christmas from the garage - I wish I'd labelled the box from last year:o

    Tonight - visit my friend who is less than 10 mins walking distance away, and take my lovely bottle of Prosecco to be consumed with crisps and possibly further wine.

    Enjoy your Saturday y'all:D

    No need to go to such lengths HDK - mainly because I cba with any deep cleaning;)

    I did however; rake up leaves from the back garden and pulled up lots of soggy dead plants and leaves (yeuch as some were v soggy...)
    So, the brown bin is once again full until collection day.

    I also made TWO (although small) apple crumbles (currently cooking in the oven), as I had a load of apples that weren't going anywhere in the fruit bowl. I also squeezed remaining oranges and had a large glass of OJ all to myself:D I felt very :A and also went to the trouble of looking at a cookbook - yes ME! Mrs Potato:D:D

    Oh, and Christmas is still in the garage:( but will locate the box(es) tomorrow.

    Does that mean that dinner tonight was not of the baked potatoe variety?
  • I was worried then NP, not only DEEP cleaning and there was absolutely no mention of sitting on settee to carefully think over first and then cooking in an oven and a cook book was mentioned. Are you feeling ok? Is that why you needed OJ, do you need the vitamins? are you running a temp?

    I need to deep clean or any sort of clean really before get brothers with the broods descend. I must admit even I think my windows need cleaning and I am literally the least observant person you could wish to meet. Lose or gain stones, cut hair, grow a beard, I dont notice, I dont do colours either. Blue is blue - thats it.

    Maybe she had the OJ first and that's what caused the problems. All those healthy vitamins swishing round inside you, it can't be good for you :D.
    A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    Yeah, I reckon the oranges were so past their best that the vitamins had a little extra kick to them, which in turn gave me a wee natural 'high'.

    Although the cookbook is currently been looked at by my son who has decided to make lamb rogan josh this evening, with a veggie version for me. If I'm not careful, my potatoes may go to waste (although I suppose my veggie version is gonna contain potatoes and other veg:D

    The apple crumbles are very good though so 'go me' (I must have paid attention all those years ago in home economics;))

    Okay, it appears I work well this lists (although conveniently ignore the chores I don't like to do). So for today we have;

    Christmas boxes located and taken out of the garage
    Christmas put up
    Washing on
    Tumble dry washing
    :smileyhea
    Take pooch out rather than convincing her the garden is as good as any park (she likes to sniff other dog's wee's/poo's and is obviously now getting rather bored of her own)
    POLISH furniture - OMG!!!!! (although hopefully this will mean I don't have to do any such thing again until 2013
    :D)
    Clean the kitchen....blah, blah, blah
    Clean the bathroom....blah, blah, blah
    Oh and get dressed:D

    Will no doubt mostly be on here for the entire day though;)

    Well, so much for my deep-cleaning strategy...in the process I have managed to break the shower head (it's a mains shower over the bath and the shower 'holder' thing had snapped a few weeks back, so the whole shower fitting was a bit precarious).

    This means I will have to go to B&Q etc. which is located in a v.v.busy retail park:(:(:(

    On the plus though I have;
    deep cleaned kitchen
    deep cleaned bathroom
    put washing on

    next on list is;
    polish furniture
    another hoover
    locate Christmas from the garage
    put Christmas in the house
    Oh, and get dressed
    (obviously not showered though:()

    Next year, as well as paying off vast proportions of my mortgage, whilst saving large quantities of £££s, I am going to look into fitting an en-suite as having only one bathroom (and shower!) is a right pain in the bahookie.

    Back in a wee while;)

    With the exception of taking the pooch out (garden is massive - like a mini park so she's been in and out sniffing around the trees and chasing birds....and will be taken out for a proper walk - I promise!) I have achieved everything on my list.

    I could only locate one Christmas box though so we have half-a-Christmas going on, but still enough to merit a :xmastree:

    I have also managed to unscrew the shower hose, so think I can get away with buying new hose and shower head only....although the holder bar is dodgy so dependant on overall expense I should really just buy the whole caboodle as I know that I am only delaying the inveitable:cool:

    Still looking like rogan josh / veggie rogan josh on the menu tonight so that and x-factor = a lovely chilling family evening with lots of Christmas lights twinkling in the background (but not in a edinburgher oo-er missus way).

    I am v.v. excited as I've taken a day off this week to visit IKEA for Christmas lunch and shopping with a colleague, of course this will equate to lots of spends, however this off-set is that I won't be living it large this Christmas - two house parties and one work's thing, other than that it's going to be a mellow affair:)

    I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday

    Congrats on achieving everything on your list.... (Commiserations to the pooch though, I'm sure the wee dog was looking forward to a sniff fest this afternoon).

    Almost ended up in ikea myself today... But lacked the energy and inclination to make the journey.

    Enjoy what sounds like a lovely evening x
