I have pretty much failed EVERY night of this week:( what is going on???? Also, for the first time in forever I went into unplanned overdraft (I don't have an overdraft), however contacted the bank and as I am normally such a goody-two-shoes, they waived any charge - thankfully.

On other money-wasting news I have lost receipts for my travel expenses:(:(:( I have prayed to St. Anthony so hopefully will magically reappear when I return to my desk on Monday (I'm currently on a 3-day course).

Pay day tomorrow which is good, but will definitely be keeping a scrooge-like focus which of course isn't the best approach during December...also paid very early this month (for January) so will have to move salary over to another account, then remember to move back across for 'normal' payday.

On the whole though, I feel like and epic failure as even baby MOPs have ceased.....need to turn a few tricks on the street at this rate;)

I might be joinng you to turn a few tricks a the rate we are sending too.....

Another way of looking at - once upon a time, I wouldn't have let all of this spending bother me. The fact that it bothers us so much is a little bit of a break through in itself in my opinion.....

We can get focused again in the new year and just try and limit the damage a bit between now and then.

Thank you for the dodgy hug tilly X and lula you are absolutely right in that spending (or money wasting) does gnaw away which is a good thing, although sometimes I just get fed-up with the endless wheel of paying bills, mortgage etc. and looking forward to pay days.... when I just want* to enjoy the rewards of working hard - and by this I mean not living in a house which is past being shabby chic, having adequate savings as security, and not thinking "can I afford to attend three Christmas 'do's?"

*note to self, want not need! Compared to some I am one lucky b**ger:o

I don't think the cold winter nights suit me;)

**comes out of the lurkers corner**
I felt very fed up the other day too Natty, and decided to get back on this site and read diaries to give me the kick i need. Having done that and got the much needed encouragement from the diaries and you, I'm determined more than ever, after my prolonged lapse, to get back on track. I'm determined to climb back on the black wagon after falling off it and riding the red one. The red wagon's too darn bumpy anyway :)
    Thanks :)

    Please don't lurk pix, unfortunately my diary isn't the best and a synopsis goes like this;

.....drank wine, overspent on groceries, ate too much, watched TV, did bare minimum housework....

Although I maybe mentioned overpaying on my mortgage once. Maybe:p

I'm very glad to hear that you're back on the black wagon:D

Okay, going to go to bed, and when I wake up tomorrow my bank account will look splendidly healthy:D

I shouldn't be spending any money (actually didn't spend any today now I come to think of it), thanks to attending day 2 of my course.

Plus a MOP automatically comes out via standing order so technically tomorrow....I'm back in the game:D

    Thanks lula

Well, up early as today is the final day of my training course....this is a course that I had been looking forward to attending for such a long time, and yesterday evening I came away feeling quite stressed out, so not looking forward to today at all:(

We are all to deliver a lesson first thing this morning using a different methodology and the trainer was getting quite narked with us yesterday - she butted in whilst we were still preparing and formulating our ideas and asked a question that confused me....so picking up on this, as a result of my answer she was clearly hating on me - unfortunately not over-sensitivity on my part as the group immediately picked up on her attitude towards me, and mentioned when she left our group:(

Ah well, *only* 6 hours of my Saturday.........

I hope you all have a lovely Saturday with fun plans and HDK I look forward to hearing about last night's spa evening:)

If you're reading this today at any point between the hours of 9-3, please send me positive vibes so I have an impenetrable safety bubble from any trainer meanness;)
