  • Feeling quite virtuous about my cleaning weekend... I do however need a rest now and with MrMRN home tomorrow, the house could quickly return to the state it was in on Friday!!! Why do I bother?!

It's a case of battening down the hatches for the next few days (well until Friday really).

As suspected, my grocery spends really crept up and that's what happens when I take my eye of the ball:o

I still have quite a few Christmas presents to buy - I reckon approximately £100 (no more though!!) which is better than previous years.....

Also, I have been shopping at Ms weekly as this will give me a £30 voucher just before Christmas day. I will use this for Christmas Eve/Day/Boxing food/nibbles etc. (or more than like will put towards)

Fortunately I have approximately £75 or so expenses to be submitted, however may need to keep back as my January 'buffer'

:eek::eek::eek: just realised the time - best get moving for work.

    Have a lovely MOP/MSE day X

    MND - Let's go for 2020 'cos it's got a nice ring to it:D

batter down those hatches natty! You sound all in control of the money now :) Good luck with your budget this week.
  • Well done on christmas to go amount.

Feels close now.... 4 weeks today... yikes.

I know what you mean with grocery spends, Im embarrassed that we spend £500 a month (and thats only if im really good) but cant seem to reduce any further, definitely work in progress for me. 2 adults, 3 kids, 3 cats and all those pack ups... no still could do better.

Yikes indeed - all those airy 'I'll have it done by Xmas' work promises are suddenly a bit scary :snow_laug.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
